The Singapore Fish Merchants General Association was set up in 1969 by the fish wholesalers in Ellenbrough Street and Beach Road Wholesale Market after they were relocated to Jurong Central Fish Market.

For the past 10 years, about 200 tons of fresh seafood was imported to Singapore daily with 80% sold in the Jurong Central Fish Market. About 90% of the fish merchants in the fish market are members of the Association.

Our major clients are retailers in the wet markets, supermarkets, restaurant suppliers and seafood suppliers from west Malaysia.

The fishery market is open to public and the business operating hours is from 12.30 a.m to 7.00 a.m. Closed on Monday. (Note: Please bring along your identification card for exchanging of entry pass for security purposes.) Foreign fishing boats are allowed to bring food supplies back to their country.
